Dining at Tender Bob’s Steak

Monday, September 15, 2008

My first post about dining out is of course the place where you can have the one of best steaks in town, Tender Bob’s Steaks. I’ve been lucky to be employed in one of the owner of this restaurant the reason why I’ve been to this place couple of times. My boss would take us in his restaurant on our meetings so we can taste Tender Bob’s fine cuisine. There are times though that I’ve been with some friends also because we want to try on their various specialties. I remember my officemates in Design Science Jewel, Tintin, Kelyn and Rachel. We ate at Libis branch and we’re all satisfied with our orders. My favorites then are potato skins, shrimp d’ mango and baby back ribs.

Now they’ve closed that branch but now have branches in Shangri-la plaza, greenhills, glorietta and market market! I’ve dined in Shangri-la and Greenhills on our meetings with some business partners of my boss but the other branches were too far from my vicinity. I’ve tried some of their steaks and I can really recommend the fine taste of their steaks and other simple menus which I like a lot like calamares and chicken tenders (Sir Bob’s favorite
J).

Here are some of the house specialities: Tenderloin steak, US Angus Ribeye steak, Baby Back ribs, Pork Spareribs, US Boneless Beef Shortribs, Salpicao, Sizzling Salisbury steak, Chicken steak, Grilled Salmon Fillet for weight-conscious
J and many more including pasta, burgers, salads, soups, cakes and desserts and coolers.

I always want to try something maybe because I'm a frustrated chemist :-). I took up Computer Engineering because of the high demand for the computer-skilled personnel then giving up my flair for mixing chemicals. Now instead of mixing chemicals I turned my liking to mixing ingredients. And that includes baking too, though I'm a beginner in the baking world compared to cooking to which I must say I spent couple of years cooking for my loved ones.
